Welcome to Devonshire Stables. We are based on our farm in the heart of rural Devon, but we deliver and assemble our stables, tackrooms, workshops and other timber buildings throughout the South of England, including the Home Counties, and the prices shown are all inclusive for this service.
Horses have played a big part in our family for generations, whether working the land, hunting or riding for pleasure.
So when we began making timber buildings almost a decade ago equestrian buildings seemed a logical step. You will find our approach very different from most manufacturers - we don't mass produce our products or keep stock. we prefer instead to limit our production and concentrate on quality and service.
When you purchase from a large company you are inevitably paying for expensive workshops, delivery trucks and of course staff. We don't employ office or sales staff so no one will call to hassle you. We believe our products sell themselves.

As a guide we offer two ranges of stables and field shelters, but because all our buildings are made to order we can adapt them to suit you. So, whatever your requirements from a single field shelter to a complete stable yard or American barn we are confident we can offer the best product at the best price.
Our promise on quality
If you have visited many of our competitor's websites you may find our site a bit different. Our aim is to clearly display not only our products but our prices. We won't list a low price only to load it with hidden extras later.
All our stables and shelters regardless of range are made from tanalised timber only as standard. Likewise we won't supply any equine building without kick boarding as it is a false economy, so this is also included in every price you see.
We don't supply DIY kits preferring instead to assembly every building ourselves for your peace of mind (and ours) therefore all our prices also include assembly and finally every building we supply comes with 10yr tanalised skid bearers to keep your shelter mobile and off the ground to prolong its life even more. Steel skids are also available at extra cost.
