Larch Clad stables

This building was built in the winter of 2018 in North Devon, approximately taking the team 5 days to install the timber structure on a pre prepared concrete base. This Stable block was clad in a waney edge Larch cladding from a local saw mill, the beauty of this timber is it has natural oils within that repel water ingress making a naturally weatherproof timber without the need for treatments; it smells amazing too! our stable doors used rebated 6x1 boards that lap over each other providing a waterproof and flat surface finish which allowed for all the iron work to fit perfectly.

The beauty of this design it has a 3600mm (12 foot) overhang which is perfect to keep the Moor land weather out. this overhang is supported by 150mm (6 inch) square larch posts giving the desired heavy duty appeal.

this building includes an insulation lined steel tile effect roof, this was fitted to be in keeping with the customers home which faces the stables.
